Partner Search Terms

A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own system. The provider’s privacy rules govern its processing.

Messages Sent to Us

If you send an email or contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Technical Data Collected Automatically

Normal site and analytics systems may record technical details when a page loads:

• Internet Protocol address;
• browser name and version;
• device class and operating system;
• pages viewed and time spent;
• the referring page or site, when available;
• request and event timestamps.

Cookies

Cookies and similar storage help measure how visitors use the resource. Browser settings can reject or delete them. Blocking cookies may cause some search, preference, analytics, or advertising features to work differently.

How Information Is Used

• Operate the pages reliably and improve speed;
• send a requested search to the selected provider;
• understand which Ogle County and Illinois records topics are useful;
• detect faults, abuse, and technical problems;

External Records and Websites

Links may lead to Ogle County Sheriff and Circuit Clerk pages, Illinois FOIA resources under 5 ILCS 140, IDOC, PRB, VINE, BOP, ICE, and outside search services. Once a visitor leaves, the destination’s own privacy notice applies.

Advertising providers may use their systems to associate activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs under the provider’s controls, not in Ogle County government records and not as a record hosted here.

This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor submitted information, a parent or guardian may ask that it be deleted.

Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request, you may ask for a copy of personal information we hold, request correction, request deletion, or object to certain processing. These rights concern data held by us. Requests about an Ogle jail record, IDOC record, or court file must go to that government custodian.

We may revise this privacy notice as services, vendors, or legal requirements change. The updated text will appear here with a new effective date.
